Chrysanthemum and Penny

Kevin Henkes is a wonderful children’s author and illustrator, who penned such classics as Chrysanthemum - a story about a young mouse who hates her very long name. It’s a wonderful and thoughtful story about the power of words and self-acceptance.

This display would serve as a fun display to pair with more of Henkes books like Penny and her Doll, Lily’s Purple Plastic Purse, Wemberley Worried - or other books about confidence and self-esteem. Other suggested learning activities available upon request.
